Accounts Officer

Pace Appointments is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their team in the freight forwarding industry. As an Accounts Officer, you will be responsible for handling all account functions, including accounts receivable and payable, daily and monthly bank reconciliations, and managing daily cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform full function of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Manage daily cash flow, conduct foreign currency purchases
- Process Foreign Currency Payments
- Perform weekly customer analysis in terms of credit limit and terms
- Process client refunds, staff expenses claims, manage corporate credit card and reconcile expenditure
- Month-end processes, reporting and analysing
- Manage prepayments and accruals
- Balance Sheets – in consultation with external accountants at year end
- Profit and Loss – in consultation with external accountants at year end
- End of year tax statements – in consultation with external accountants at year end (incl journals)
- BAS
- WIPS/Accruals
- Recent experience working in a relevant Accounts/Bookkeeping role within the international freight forwarding industry
- Experience with Cargowise operating system essential
