Marketing Communications Officer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Marketing Communications Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that strengthen our brand, drive engagement, and support our fundraising efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Integrated Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned to our strategic plan.
  • Drive Brand Awareness: Drive brand awareness and integrity through campaigns, publications, and digital media.
  • Manage Social Media Presence: Plan, manage, and grow our social media presence and digital platforms.
  • Design and Deliver Collateral: Design and deliver high-quality collateral using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools.
  • Support Fundraising Campaigns: Support fundraising campaigns with compelling communications and supporter journeys across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with internal teams, external providers, and PR partners to deliver effective campaigns.
  • Contribute to Publications: Contribute to the development of our publications, newsletters, and annual review.
  • Maintain Knowledge: Monitor, evaluate, and report on marketing and communications outcomes and budgets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Marketing Experience: Demonstrated success in developing and delivering effective marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Digital Skills: Strong digital, social media, and content creation skills.
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Criminal History Check: Ability to obtain and maintain a current Positive Blue Card and Criminal History check.
  • Not-For-Profit Experience: Experience in the not-for-profit, charity, or membership sector.
  • Fundraising Communications: Familiarity with fundraising communications and campaigns.
  • Adobe InDesign: Experience with using Adobe InDesign or Affinity Publisher.
  • CRM Systems: Experience with CRM systems such as Microsoft 360.
  • Australian Defence Force: Understanding of the Australian Defence Force and veteran families.
