Inception Marketing is a fast-growing marketing consultancy aimed at helping businesses discover what exceptional marketing looks like. We're currently on the lookout for a casual Marketing Assistant (approx. 16-20 hours per week) to help us in the day-to-day operations of our business. This position is perfect for a university student or recent graduate who is looking to gain experience in their field while studying.

Who we are:

Inception Marketing is all about discovering exceptional marketing with our clients. We are not a typical agency, in-fact we wouldn't put ourselves in that category at all. We are an outsourced Marketing Team, perhaps you have heard of the Fractional CMO, or Fractional Marketing Manager – well that is us, a Fractional Marketing Team

We are focused solely on the IT & Tech industry and specifically partner with MSP's, ISV's & SI's to grow and scale their businesses. We partner with our customers to learn about their business, their growth strategies, their expansion plans and ensure the marketing strategy and plan we put in place focuses on delivering ROI activities.

The Position:

We're on the lookout for a casual marketing assistant (approx. 16-20 hours per week) to help with the daily operations of our business and our clients. As Marketing Assistant your primary responsibilities will be to support the creation and execution of social media content, graphics and some client campaign materials as required. You will have a keen desire to learn about the IT and Technology industry and learning about Marketing best practices in across the industry. You will have a great work ethic, understand the value your role has within the business and a great attitude towards learning and rolling up your sleeves to get the work done.

Business Objectives of the Role – Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

• Support our Marketing Manager with the creation of innovative social media content & graphics
• Research and report on industry marketing trends within the IT & Technology space
• Write and create on-brand social media content and campaign content pieces
• Ensure you contribute to positive workplace culture

Main duties and Responsibilities

Marketing:

• You will create a regular content stream of social media posts and graphics for Inception Marketing, and any other client social media posts required
• You will assist our Managing Director in any marketing tasks as required, e.g. presentation materials support, organising pull up banners & merchandise ordering
• You will research marketing best practices across the IT & Technology industry and propose any suggestions and your findings back to your Marketing Manager
• You will support our Marketing Manager & CMO with any campaign execution requests from time to time
• You will help with general marketing admin requirements such as data entry, management, and analysis
• You will develop newsletters and other communication for both clients and Inception
• You will help with ad hoc requirements for clients such as customer surveys, packaging of customer marketing content
• You will model the right behaviours and attitudes to reinforce Inception Marketing values, culture and performance standards

We talk to our customers in business outcomes, ensuring that when we do discuss tactics it's always linked back to their business results and goals

About You:

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

• Marketing degree qualified (or related field) / Second- or Third-Year University Student
• You will be proactive, delivery focused, solutions orientated with a great worth ethic
• You will proactively contribute to our budding culture
• You will have a thirst and desire for the technology industry and how it plays into the overall success of the world at large
• You will be curious and inquisitive of nature, contributing to and constructively challenging and offering polarity views or ideas
