Job Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our metal fabrication team in Melbourne, Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing high-quality metal components for heavy vehicle body building. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication of metal components using various techniques such as cutting, forming, and welding.

  • Maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Quality control and assurance to meet customer requirements and company standards.

  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., metalwork, engineering) or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of metalworking principles and practices.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
