As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our lending operations. Your primary responsibility will be to review lending files at various stages of the credit lifecycle, guaranteeing compliance with legislative requirements and our organization's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will conduct thorough reviews of lending files to identify potential risks and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  • Based on trends analysis and/or hot spots, you will perform targeted reviews to ensure that our lending practices align with regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate Lending Fraud Referrals, including AML monitoring for Loan accounts, to protect our customers from fraudulent activities.
  • You will communicate feedback and review results effectively to stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and develop recommendations to enhance our risk management framework.
  • Analyze, report, and observe the lending process, policy, products, and strategies, providing data-driven insights on credit quality and loan integrity.
  • You will work closely with front-line staff to coach and develop their skills in risk awareness, empowering them to make informed decisions.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of credit-based activities throughout the credit lifecycle, including transactional level experience.
  • Awareness of commercial applications of risk management principles, policy, and procedures.
  • Excellent analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to draw meaningful insights.
  • Attention to detail and fraud awareness, with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies.
  • You must be able to complete work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with other teams to drive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of key compliance requirements (NCCP, Privacy, AML/CTF, FSR).
  • Solid risk awareness, demonstrating a positive attitude towards assurance and alignment with our organization's code of conduct.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
