About the Role
The Environmental Operations team plays a vital role in preserving, managing, and enhancing Council's diverse range of environmental and recreational assets, in partnership with the community.
This position is responsible for supporting and facilitating the environmental work of private landowners through various programs.
Key responsibilities include providing professional environmental advice to Officers, Councillors, and the community, as well as implementing conservation programs.
Our team works collaboratively to achieve sustainable outcomes, enhance our region's lifestyle, and create award-winning places and spaces.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of natural ecosystems and flora and fauna identification skills.
- Good grasp of threatening processes impacting biodiversity values and strategies to address them.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Ability to negotiate on-ground outcomes with private landholders.
