Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Principal Adviser Offender Management. This key position plays a pivotal part in overseeing governance processes for programs and interventions, ensuring that all operations align with established standards and objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with sites and operational Directorates to plan and monitor annual throughput targets for programs and interventions. They will also coordinate activities associated with the Agency's accreditation panel to guarantee that all programs and services delivered meet approved standards and address prisoner and offender needs.

Key responsibilities include overseeing monthly reporting processes against throughput and SDS targets, implementing and coordinating site monitoring processes in collaboration with Offender Intervention Unit, providing high-level advice to the agency on effective offender assessment, intervention, and management strategies, and identifying relevant trends and issues.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of contemporary rehabilitation, offender management, and professional practice issues, trends, and practices. They will be able to represent the Agency in negotiations with other Government Agencies and maintain partnership with key agencies as required to ensure the achievement of Government priorities and outcomes.

In addition, they will collaborate effectively with other directorates in order to achieve strategic outcomes and promote effective offender management practices. The selected individual will provide support and high-level advice to the Manager and Director on the development of group planning processes and develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of work activities and practice issues impacting Specialist Operations, the Agency, and operational units.
