As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining community safety by providing welfare assistance, counselling and approved programs to offenders.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of offenders, analysing results and maintaining accurate records.
- Stay up-to-date with legislation, policy and procedures related to offender management, ensuring compliance and best practice.
- Participate in supervision activities and team meetings to foster collaboration and achieve shared goals.
- Provide consultancy services to multidisciplinary teams and accept referrals from other team members.
- Develop and deliver assessment, counselling and welfare services to individuals, tailoring support to meet their unique needs.
- Contribute to case planning and case management activities, including report preparation and case notes, ensuring seamless communication across teams.
- Maintain accurate and secure records, adhering to relevant authorities' requirements.
- Offer expert advice on classification and planning review processes, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information and QCS property.
- Provide timely updates to advisory and support services regarding assessment progress.
- Liaise with external service providers to enhance offender community integration, promoting successful reintegration.
- Advise on community re-integration and parole processes, facilitating smooth transitions.
- Counsel offenders about offending behaviours and consequences, empowering them to make positive changes.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A deep understanding of offender rehabilitation research and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with offenders, colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
