Job Title: Offender Management Lead

The role of Offender Management Lead is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of professionals in the management of high-risk offenders. This position requires a strong background in frontline people management techniques, including mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback and appraisal processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and developing a small team of professional staff responsible for managing high-risk offenders
  • Providing front-line human resource management support and guidance to direct reports
  • Providing specialist expertise in advice, guidance, and oversight of daily risk management of direct staff reports
  • Executing responsibilities in accordance with governance mechanisms to deliver compliance and support business improvement initiatives
  • Providing advisory services to senior management on emerging risks and best practice approaches

Key Requirements:

  • Ensuring professional conduct and behavior aligns with the Queensland Public Service Code of Conduct
  • Promoting and nurturing a team culture with good morale, values diversity, and is competent with working with diverse target groups
