Operational Excellence Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Excellence Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will champion operational consistency, support daily branch functions, develop and deliver training, and ensure our branch network operates efficiently and compliantly across Australia.

This is a branch and office-based position with regular travel to our branch locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Support: Provide critical operational support to branch teams, ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and service expectations
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve escalated operational issues and offer clear guidance to staff
  • Process Implementation: Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and services across branches
  • Training Delivery: Design, implement, and evaluate training programs for new hires and existing staff, ensuring onboarding compliance is maintained in collaboration with relevant Learning and Development teams
  • Operational Training: Deliver hands-on operational training on systems, procedures, and customer service
  • Training Materials Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date training materials, resources, and manuals
  • Skill Gaps Identification: Identify skills gaps and provide coaching where required
  • Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify and lead process improvement initiatives across branches
  • Standardization: Promote standardization of procedures to enhance the overall customer experience
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze operational performance metrics and report key insights to management
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety policies, regulatory guidelines, and internal procedures
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison with internal audit or compliance teams during assessments
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role, ideally within the automotive or logistics industry
  • Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of operational policies, branch procedures, and service delivery
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Presentation: Professional presentation, representing the company brand
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Travel: Ability to travel regularly to branch locations across the network
  • Independence: Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on high-quality outcomes
  • System Competency: Competency using systems and software for reporting, documentation, and communication
  • Australian Driver's Licence: A full and valid Australian driver's licence
