Food and Beverage Operations Manager

Are you a motivated and passionate hospitality professional looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic team? We are seeking an Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage to join our team at Hyatt Centric Melbourne.
About the RoleThe Assistant Manager - Food & Beverage will be responsible for assisting the Venues Manager and Restaurant Manager with the smooth and efficient operation of Langlands' Restaurant & Bar, Events, and In-Room Dining. You will play a key role in building, coaching, and leading a team of motivated and passionate hospitality professionals.
Responsibilities- Run and manage shifts in all outlets as required; buffet breakfast service, lunch and dinner à la carte, and events
- Foster a culture that empowers teams by creating a safe and authentic environment through supporting individuality, being open-minded, and inclusive
- Assist with the onboarding, training, and development of team members, and implement training programs
- Maintain high standards of quality and presentation while promoting a fun and equal work environment
- Monitor promotional tracking and reporting in a timely manner
- Ensure guest complaints are handled and communicated in a timely and satisfactory manner
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Prior experience as a manager in a premium restaurant or 5-star hotel
- A current Victorian RSA Certificate
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, coach, train, and motivate team members
- A passion for food and beverages, with sound knowledge of Victorian products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:
