KBR Inc., a renowned leader in delivering science, technology and engineering solutions, invites applications for an experienced Combat Systems Engineer to join their esteemed team based out of Garden Island, Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing combat systems subject matter expertise, technical guidance, leadership and direction in support of the Engineering activities required to deliver services under the contracted requirements from the ACSSPO.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engineering activities to ensure compliance with approved policy, plans and processes
  • Developing tasking statements for design tasks to be executed in accordance with the planned schedule
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team to develop design solutions and requirements in the context of Engineering Change Management, Configuration management, Systems Safety and Certification
  • Reviewing engineering design task deliverables and conducting associated technical Design Reviews
  • Conducting technical risk assessments within the limits of engineering delegation

To be successful in this role, applicants must possess a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification in a recognised Engineering related discipline, with experience in Requirements Development, Design Review and Acceptance within a regulated technical framework. A minimum of 7 years related experience is also required, along with eligibility for ITAR clearance and SQEP Engineering Delegation Authority.
