Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer with expertise in design systems to join our team at Pyramid Global Technologies. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing reusable UI components, ensuring that our web applications are accessible and meet the highest standards of quality.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, and accessibility principles. You should also have good knowledge of React, including the use of hooks, as well as experience with SCSS and its various features such as mixins and functions.

In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to collaborate closely with our design team to ensure that our design systems meet the needs of our users and are scalable for future growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop reusable UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ensure that all web applications are accessible and meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1
  • Collaborate with the design team to create and maintain design systems
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our development process
  • Develop and customize Storybook to showcase our UI components
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Frontend Development with a focus on accessibility
  • Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, and accessibility principles
  • Good knowledge of React, including the use of hooks
  • Experience with SCSS and its various features such as mixins and functions
  • Awareness and understanding of WCAG 2.1 and accessibility standards
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools such as screen readers and keyboard-driven functionality
Desirable Skills
  • Use of Dart SCSS
  • Design UX/UI experience
  • Experience using Sketch, Invision, or other design software
  • Ability to write documentation
  • Comfortable sharing knowledge with and mentoring other developers
  • Ability to configure, maintain, and update webpack builds
  • Experience creating, editing, and maintaining production build/deployment plans
  • Atlassian stack: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo
