Job Description

This role provides information and support to Defence families, developing a range of activities to ease the impact of mobility and service-related parental absence. The position assists with daily administrative duties, including attendance monitoring, appointment bookings, first aid assistance, and general administrative tasks.

The Defence School Mentor will support young people from Defence families to integrate into the school community, create awareness of their needs, and develop programs to promote participation in school and community activities. The mentor will also provide advocacy and negotiation support, referrals to support services, and contribute to the school team.
