Job Overview

The role of Trades Assistant / Work Execution Officer is a pivotal position within the Defence Fuel Network, spanning across 100 Australian Defence bases nationwide.

This opportunity presents a unique chance to work in the Australia Defence environment and contribute to the security requirements of the Nation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical and electrical work scopes
  • Purchase materials and create work packages
  • Manage maintenance documentation on Computerised Maintenance Management System
  • C Coordinate contractors including obtaining quotes and documentation
  • Support maintenance technicians during field operations
  • Assist various sites in the region with occasional travel to NT
  • Perform general administration and other duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous labouring or trade experience preferably in mechanics highly regarded
  • Experience with SAP based Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Preparation of permit to work documentation and risk assessments
  • Safety must be at the forefront of all activities
  • Able to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance
  • Proficient IT skills
