Job Title: Leadership Accountant Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of accountants and managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as second-in-command for the Global AP and Expense Manager - P2P
  • Provide clear guidance and development to team members on best-practice accounting processes, policies and governance to drive strategic intent and direction.
  • Liaise with offshore accountancy teams to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and maintained.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors using the correct payment terms.
  • Process invoices, payments and vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Manage queries and issues as required and function as the first point of escalation where issues occur.
  • Daily, weekly & monthly accounts and cash flow reporting.
  • Maintain good relationships with business stakeholders and actively demonstrate Toll values.
  • Maintain compliance with the Delegation of Authority.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years working in an accounting leadership role.
  • Subject matter expert in end-to-end financial systems and processes.
  • Experience working with SAP S/4hana and SAP Concur.
  • Participation in system optimisation, implementations, upgrades projects and testing.
  • Exposure using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology to drive scalability on processes.
  • Strong knowledge of email management.
  • The ability to partner with the business to ensure governance and drive adoption policy and processes across all business units.
  • Proven experience in working with offshore teams in multi sites and disciplines within finance.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills in order to manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent people leadership capabilities, performance management and development of staff.
  • Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
