As a Disability Support Worker at Cocoon SDA Care, you will have the opportunity to work in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) or SDA environment, providing personal care and support to individuals with high physical needs. You will be part of a close-knit team that is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of our participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to participants with complex care needs, including personal care and daily living activities.
  • Assist participants with goal setting and planning, and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support and care for participants.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised support plans.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex care needs.
  • Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish a professional relationship with participants and their families.
  • Flexibility to work over a 7-day roster and availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as required.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Orientation, COVID Infection Control, NDIS Workers Screening, Working with Children Check, National Police Check.
