About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital's Neurology Stroke Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing nursing and midwifery services in a variety of health service settings, developing from competent to proficient practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others, and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.
  • Provide support to the Nursing/Midwifery Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in the leadership of nurses/midwives in the ward/unit/service.
  • Undertake a portfolio within which you will promote continuity and consistency of care, assist in the implementation of practice changes, and assist in undertaking ward/unit/service management responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC) and immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
