Pregnancy Connect Care Specialist

The Pregnancy Connect Care Specialist role is a key position within the northern sector of the district, focused on connecting vulnerable women with pregnancy care providers and overseeing maternal transfers.
This specialist will act as a conduit between maternity services and the community, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. They will engage with women who find it difficult to connect with maternity services, leveraging strong communication and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating connections between maternity services and vulnerable populations.
- Oversight of maternal transfers within the district.
- Collaboration with a diverse team of maternity experts to ensure safety and quality of maternity services.
In addition to these critical responsibilities, the Pregnancy Connect Care Specialist will participate in regular meetings and planning days, receiving support from the WHAM Network Coordinator and Midwifery Advisor.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- Minimum of three (3) years full-time equivalent post-midwifery qualification experience.
