Procurement Manager Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly commercial Procurement Manager to lead our sourcing activities and contracts for Raw Materials and Directs as well as indirect corporate spend. This position will enable you to develop category strategies on an end-to-end source to contract basis.

You will evaluate the supplier landscape, review spend analysis and manage tenders through to contract award. You will work collaboratively with suppliers as part of an ongoing vendor performance review and strategic partnerships model.

You will develop a supplier framework that expands the supplier base and mitigates sole supplier risk. You will work hand-in-hand with Supply Chain & Operations to ensure the timely delivery of product and materials to manage inventory volumes as required whilst leveraging a volume pricing win.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate supplier landscape and review spend analysis.
  • Manage tenders through to contract award.
  • Develop and implement a supplier framework.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain & Operations.

Requirements:

For this role, we are looking for a Procurement Manager with a proven track-record of success at managing direct spend categories and raw materials for the construction, building, civil engineering, infrastructure or similar sectors. The ideal candidate will be adept at spend analysis, identifying international pricing and commodity considerations and familiar with a network of manufacturing, building materials and construction suppliers.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant field such as business, procurement, or supply chain management. They will also have a strong understanding of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.

A background in construction, building, civil engineering, infrastructure or similar sectors is essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have experience managing direct spend categories and raw materials, including developing and implementing supplier frameworks, evaluating supplier landscapes, and reviewing spend analysis.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
