
Family Support Specialist

The Family Support Specialist role is focused on strengthening family capacity and improving outcomes for Aboriginal children and families within the child protection system.
This position supports safe family preservation or reunification, collaborating with government and sector partners under the Child Youth and Families Act (2005).
- Foster a collaborative environment to develop and implement effective support plans for families in need;
- Work closely with community organizations and service providers to ensure comprehensive family support services;
- Monitor and report on family progress, making adjustments to support plans as necessary;
- Maintain accurate records of family interactions and support activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with Aboriginal communities and families;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
