Job Description

A Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading capital projects and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic objectives. This role involves managing all aspects of projects, including scope, changes, resources, and chairing project management team meetings.

The Senior Project Manager will assess interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs, participate in feasibility studies, vendor selections, and evaluations, define statements of work and specifications, monitor and control workstreams to resolve issues and dependencies.

This role requires a strong understanding of project and program management principles, methods, and techniques, as well as Process Safety Management requirements.

  • Lead project teams to drive delivery and implementation of major capital projects (> $30 MM USD) within Henkel North America.
  • Own full project life cycle from conceptual design through initiation and deployment for assigned projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required (Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • 15-20 years of hands-on experience with capital project management in chemical manufacturing facilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at various stages.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong technical and data analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to learn new chemistries and processes.
