Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic allied health organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilise assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximising NDIS funding.
  • Build meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends) is crucial.
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework.
  • Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviours.
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges, requiring strong communication skills.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals.
  • Strong relationship-building skills to work effectively with participants and their supporters.
  • Ability to develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies.
  • Experience conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.
