Our team is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Specialist. As a Positive Behaviour Support Specialist, you will deliver person-centred, evidence-based support that makes a genuine difference in the lives of NDIS participants.
This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for NDIS participants and their support networks through tailored, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Providing and developing strong, collaborative relationships with participants, families, and stakeholders.
  2. Ensuring compliance with NDIS guidelines by reviewing and actively reducing restrictive practices.
  3. Conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying needs.
  4. Designing and implementing person-centred Behaviour Support Plans that promote positive change.
  5. Providing education and training to carers and support teams to build capacity and confidence.
  6. Collecting and analysing data regularly to monitor progress and inform ongoing support strategies.
We are looking for someone who is endorsed as 'Proficient' or above against the PBS Capability Framework, holds a relevant bachelor's degree, has full Australian working rights, prior experience in community, private or acute settings, access to their own vehicle, and a current driver's licence.
