We are seeking a highly motivated graduate biomedical engineer to fill a key role in our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
- Assist with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
- Respond to technical issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records, including inventory, service orders, and reports.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and compliance regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Participate in training programs, including self-learning and hands-on experience.
- Support on-call duties as part of a rostered system to provide 24/7 customer support.
- Travel as required for customer support and national training events.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in biomedical engineering, electronic engineering, or a related discipline.
- Valid driver's license and permanent work rights in Australia.
- Proficiency in MS Windows environments; knowledge of LIS systems, middleware solutions, Linux, CAN-BUS, and interfacing principles is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong self-organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Commitment to high service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Professional and positive attitude, ability to remain composed under pressure, and a proactive approach to learning.
- Technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Willingsness to participate in the on-call roster.
