Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated graduate biomedical engineer to fill a key role in our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of laboratory diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
  • Assist with the deployment and integration of new equipment in laboratory settings.
  • Respond to technical issues and ensure prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including inventory, service orders, and reports.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and compliance regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in training programs, including self-learning and hands-on experience.
  • Support on-call duties as part of a rostered system to provide 24/7 customer support.
  • Travel as required for customer support and national training events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in biomedical engineering, electronic engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Valid driver's license and permanent work rights in Australia.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows environments; knowledge of LIS systems, middleware solutions, Linux, CAN-BUS, and interfacing principles is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and demonstrate strong self-organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Commitment to high service quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Professional and positive attitude, ability to remain composed under pressure, and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Willingsness to participate in the on-call roster.
