Family Therapist Opportunity

About the role:

The Family Therapist provides therapy to client families where a child or children are referred to the program due to child protection risks. The primary objective is to reduce risk in the family home.

This is a part-time, fixed-term contract opportunity within our Children, Youth and Families Program. The position reports to a supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide family therapy utilizing the FFT-CW model
  • Work with families and adolescents to address child protection risks
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  2. Postgraduate training in family therapy and systemic thinking is preferred
  3. Clinical experience working with families and adolescents is preferred
