The Associate Head Men's Cross Country/Track Coach is a key member of the Florida Tech Athletics team, responsible for assisting with the vision, leadership, and strategic planning in directing and supervising all activities related to the recruitment, teaching, training, and skill development of scholar-athletes in preparation for intercollegiate competitions with specialization in sprints, jumps, and hurdles.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in providing a positive scholar-athlete experience centered on their physical and mental health, implementing, overseeing, and presenting at all regular practice sessions and competitions.
- Develop, instruct, and motivate scholar-athletes in fundamentals, techniques, and strategies to achieve a high-level performance individually and as a team, specializing in sprints, jumps, and hurdles.
- Assist with evaluating and recruiting athletically talented and academically qualified scholar-athletes, supporting the University's mission and philosophy in monitoring, overseeing, and supporting academic success.
- Assist with developing, implementing, and overseeing the university's sports operating budget and fundraising activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Sports Facilities, Coaching, or other athletic-related discipline. Master's Degree preferred.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Previous collegiate, club, or high school head or assistant coaching experience.
- USATF Level 3 Certification preferred.
