About the Role

Ventia is seeking a Senior Environmental Officer to join our Sydney Roads Asset Performance Contract team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in managing environmental risk and partnering with project delivery and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with delivery and maintenance teams to ensure environmental controls are planned and implemented on site in line with legislative requirements.
  • Identify and communicate environmental risks in early project planning stages.
  • Develop and review environmental assessments and relevant permits.
  • Review construction environmental management plans (CEMPs) for projects.
  • Conduct environmental inspections, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Attend and contribute to project risk workshops and toolbox talks.

Requirements

  • Environmental tertiary qualification.
  • 2-3 years environmental monitoring experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • External and internal stakeholder management experience.
  • Hold a Driver's License.
  • Hold a white card.
