Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team at ACM Recruitment Pty Ltd on a 4-month contract basis. As an Accounting and Finance Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting financial management initiatives and providing expert assistance in developer contribution calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage a local government's Developer Contributions registers.
  • Provide guidance and support to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Reporting enhancements and financial planning processes for Annual Budget and Long-Term Financial Plan.
  • Collaborate on Financial Projects and Initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Possession of tertiary qualifications (or in progress) in accounting or finance-related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in applying accounting policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on reconciliation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, particularly financial spreadsheets.
  • Proven track record of working effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Environmental Planning & Assessment Act, 1979.
  • Experience using Civica Authority application and Budget Software.
