Job Title: Senior HR and Payroll Specialist

HR Partners by Randstad is excited to be partnering with a leading FMCG company in Sydney Olympic Park for a Senior HR and Payroll Specialist. Reporting to the Workplace Relations Manager, this role will assist a team of 6 in end-to-end payroll. The ideal candidate will have experience using Chris21 and a strong understanding of payroll practices, legislation, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process end-to-end payroll, ensuring timely processing in accordance with legislative, industrial, and company requirements and procedures.
  • Maintain employee records within the payroll and time and attendance system.
  • Interpret multiple Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and Awards, providing strategic advice on all payroll matters.
  • Support cyclical payroll activities to meet requirements, including payroll reporting internally and externally.
  • Check and rectify any issues identified regarding paying employers and liaise with the P&C team.
  • Process and reconcile superannuation, payroll tax, and other payments related to payroll.
  • Provide operational guidance and technical expertise on all payroll-related matters.
  • Quality and process improvements of payroll to enhance efficiencies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist with a minimum 5 years of work experience.
  • Ability to interpret and implement Awards, EAs, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective time management.
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll practices, legislation, and compliance.
  • Ideal candidate will have come from a similar industry/sector (mix of white and blue-collar).
