Procurement Specialist Role

A key focus area for this position is strategic sourcing and supply chain optimisation in transportation and logistics services.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies for transportation and logistics services across Australia and New Zealand, considering market trends and business needs.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms while adhering to company policies and compliance standards.
  • Oversee contracts related to road and sea freight, hazardous materials, industrial gases, and materials delivery for construction projects.
  • Analyse data to monitor supplier performance, optimise costs, and forecast future sourcing needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with organisational goals.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks through proactive problem-solving and strategic planning.
