Senior Windows Desktop Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and enhance quality end-user enabling technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, development, maintenance, and support for the Standard Operating Environment (SOE), including desktop productivity software and corporate device configurations.
  • Packaging and deployment of applications.
  • Management of automated patching processes.
  • Providing expert technical advice across supported platforms and services.
  • Provide Level 3 support for complex technical issues escalated from service desk and Level 2 teams.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and policy enforcement.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in project planning and execution for upgrades, migrations, and new service rollouts.
  • Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, excellent communication skills, and experience/knowledge of Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise, including servicing, update channels, and M365 licensing.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
  • Experience with Australian Government IT Cyber Security processes, including ISM, Essential 8, and ACSC hardening guides
