About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Town Planner to gain real experience and apply their knowledge. As an Urban Planning Assistant, you will interact with internal and external stakeholders to review and assess development proposals and provide advice on various development enquiries.

You will also perform administrative tasks including using the NSW Planning Portal, maintaining Council's systems and databases, and performing other tasks as required. This role is ideal for someone currently studying a Town Planning degree or similar, with flexible working arrangements available to ensure this opportunity fits in with your studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess development proposals and provide advice on various development enquiries
  • Perform administrative tasks including using the NSW Planning Portal and maintaining Council's systems and databases
  • Work effectively in a team environment and interact with internal and external stakeholders
  • Meet deadlines and prioritize workloads

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Salary & Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $45,600 per year (pro rata), plus superannuation. In addition, you will have access to a range of benefits including flexible work arrangements, health and wellbeing programs, and a learning and development program including study support.
