The Senior Lawyer delivers expert legal services by providing strategic advice on complex matters and drafting key documents. This position requires delivering timely, accurate guidance across various areas; crafting and negotiating agreements; representing the organization in tribunals; managing external service providers; fostering stakeholder relationships; supporting operational functions and strategy; and ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:- Offer well-researched, timely, practical, and accurate legal advice to staff at all levels of the organization on a wide range of complex and sensitive matters.
- Negotiate, draft, and settle a variety of legal documents, including notices, decisions, letters, submissions, memoranda of understanding, agreements, deeds, affidavits, and witness statements.
- Represent the organization in QHRC, QIRC, and QCAT.
- Manage service delivery by external providers on behalf of the organization.
