Director of Litigation

This role involves leading the Commission's litigation team, driving strategic direction and ensuring effective engagement and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert legal advice on statutory responsibilities, service deliverables, and model litigant principles.
  • Leading and managing the litigation team, preparing and instructing counsel as necessary.
  • Advising, mentoring, and supporting staff to foster a positive culture and high standards of professional ethical conduct.
  • Reviewing and developing legislative and policy changes to enhance the Commission's regulatory functions.
  • Monitoring and improving policies, procedures, and management systems to maintain effective service standards.

As a member of the senior leadership team, you will provide strategic oversight, leadership, and representation of the Commissioner at external forums and meetings.
