Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to take on the role of Family Preservation Manager. This position involves leading a team of case workers in delivering targeted voluntary intervention services to children and young people aged 0-17, supporting families through our Family Preservation Program.

About the Role
  • This is a senior management position that requires strong leadership and supervisory skills, ensuring best practice and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • You will be responsible for actively engaging in consults, debriefs, and facilitated group sessions to embed the Thriving Families Framework in daily practice, driving continuous improvement.
  • Providing regular performance feedback to staff, you will develop quarterly improvement plans (QIP's) aligned with the Thriving Families Framework, promoting employee growth and development.
  • Nurturing strong relationships and partnerships with internal/external stakeholders, governing bodies, and shared health services, you will foster cross-unit engagement and support.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping and documentation, you will also prepare service delivery reports and other required reporting as needed.
Requirements
  • A qualification in social work, psychology or similar, combined with proven management and leadership experience within community services/child and family or a social work environment.
  • Computer proficiency - intermediate or advanced skills across the Microsoft Office suite.
  • The ability to tailor communication and training style to suit variety of stakeholders and experience levels, with a strong focus on operating within and nurturing a feedback culture.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to managing resources and timelines to meet deliverables.
  • Alignment with our organisational values and operational frameworks.
