We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Winery Assistant to join our team. As an Assistant Winemaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality wines.

About the Role:
  • You will work closely with the winemaking team to plan and execute wine production, including cellar work, barrel work, and cleaning operations.
  • Liaise with contract processing clients to ensure smooth logistics and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Carefully storing and maintaining wines in tank and barrel throughout the year.
  • Conducting laboratory testing and analysis, including fining and blending trials.
  • Evaluating wine quality and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate records of wine management using Vintrace software.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in winemaking, cellarhand, or laboratory roles is essential.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail, and strong work ethic are required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift experience and license are preferred.
