Job DescriptionSenior Data Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead our data engineering efforts in supporting the expansion of our cloud data lake, warehouse, and reporting solutions.

Estimated Salary: AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data warehousing ETL best practices for Teachers Health to expand data availability to the business.
  • Support current and future merger and system transformation activities through data onboarding and architecture.
  • Facilitate data security and access controls on the reporting and data layers.
  • Ensure execution performance and cost control within cloud environments through meaningful summarization and SQL optimization.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for SQL across reporting and insight analysts and conduct code reviews as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain good practice SDLC and code maintenance across the broader Data engineering team.
  • Mentor and develop junior data engineers and reporting/insight analysts.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in SQL, data warehousing, and DataOps.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and IaaS platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams across various departments to deliver data solutions.
