Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Engineer to spearhead our expansion into the utility power transmission and distribution systems market.

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to take ownership of NSW and QLD, driving growth and innovation in a dynamic industry.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with 3-5 years of engineering experience and 2-3 years in technical sales.

A strong understanding of transmission and distribution networks is essential, as is excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with technical and commercial decision-makers, uncovering client needs, and developing tailored proposals to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Proposal Development: Create tailored proposals that meet client needs and drive business results.
  • Quote Preparation: Prepare quotes and respond to tenders in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and support teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Networking: Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and networking events to build brand awareness and identify new opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of engineering experience and 2-3 years in technical sales.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of transmission and distribution networks, excellent communication skills, and ability to work autonomously.
