Grow Well Program Coordinator

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Grow Well Coordinator within our Kalpa Purru Wirranjarlki – Public Health Services Section.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies that meet the goals and objectives of the Grow Well Program.
As a Grow Well Coordinator, you will be responsible for establishing structures that foster community engagement and decision-making in the ongoing development and implementation of strategies that meet the goals and objectives of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish tools to deliver a program that improves community knowledge and practice in mother and child nutrition.
- Refer cases of poor nutrition to the Anyinginyi Community Nutritionist.
- Encourage community participation in the program.
- Organise health promotion events and deliver education sessions to community members and students.
- Undertake action planning within a community development framework that responds to the needs of local children and families at risk.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of primary health issues including hygiene and nutrition.
- Experience in working in remote Indigenous communities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a collaborative and supportive manner with colleagues and external clients.
