Aboriginal Health Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated individual to join Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation as a Grow Well Coordinator in our Kalpa Purru Wirranjarlki – Public Health Services Section.
This full-time position is based in Tennant Creek and offers a rewarding career opportunity for someone passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of remote Indigenous communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development and implementation of programs to support the health and wellbeing of children aged 0-5 years and their families.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community members, health services, and other stakeholders to ensure effective program delivery.
- Provide education and support to community members on nutrition, hygiene, and other health issues.
- Conduct home visits and provide health promotion activities to community members.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures to improve the health and wellbeing of remote Indigenous communities.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as health, nutrition, or community development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with community members, health services, and other stakeholders.
- Experience working in remote Indigenous communities, with a strong understanding of the cultural and social determinants of health.
- Ability to travel regularly to remote communities, with a valid driver's licence and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of remote Indigenous communities.
