Project Management Specialist

The role of Project Management Specialist is a critical position within the conservation estate, responsible for overseeing operations and ensuring effective management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement joint management strategies.
  • Promote meaningful engagement with local communities, fostering a shared understanding of cultural heritage and environmental values.
  • Lead project planning and delivery, adhering to guidelines set by Traditional Owners and the conservation estate.
  • Develop and enhance the skills of the Nanda Ranger workforce through targeted training programs and resources.
  • Contribute to administrative and governance aspects of joint management, ensuring seamless operation of projects.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as part of a team, and show high self-motivation in remote locations.
  • Familiarity with cultural heritage management principles, with a preference for candidates with experience in or willingness to learn about biodiversity and recreation management in a conservation context.
  • Proficient written skills, including report preparation and correspondence using computer software.
