Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our team in Perth.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and ensuring alignment between the schedule, project scope and key milestones.
  • Monitoring and controlling project budgets, preparing cost forecasts, tracking expenditures and identifying cost variances.
  • Implementing EVM techniques to track project performance and providing regular updates on project progress and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies, as well as managing and documenting changes in scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring proper approvals are obtained.
  • Preparing and delivering accurate and timely project reports, including progress, risks and financials.
  • Facilitating effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with relevant certifications (PMI-SP, AACE CCP) highly desired.

Proven proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Earned Value Management is required. Additionally, a proven track record in large-scale construction, infrastructure, or utilities projects is essential.

Strong data analysis, risk assessment, and cost control skills are necessary. Excellent communication, organisational and multi-tasking abilities are also required.
