Communications Volunteer - (Assistant Video Animator) To support the creation of an animated video series for our social media channels 27th August, 2025 Purpose / ObjectiveThe Asylum Seekers Centre's communications team is seeking a volunteer to support the creation of an animated video series for our social media channels.
This position is best suited for those who have strong storytelling skills and professional experience in video production who wish to offer their skills and/or services in-kind to help ASC.Commitment Period: Flexible, based on creation of minimum five animated videosDuties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with the production of five short animated videos (3-4 minutes in length) for the ASC's social media channelsSupport the lead animator to develop and implement animation concepts and ideas.Support the communications team in the video shoot of reference materials for animationRegular progress check-in with Communications team (flexible timing) 27th August, 2025 Purpose / ObjectiveThe Asylum Seekers Centre's communications team is seeking a volunteer to support the creation of an animated video series for our social media channels.

Sharing a portfolio is essential.Proficiency in Adobe After Effects (desirable)Experience in working with people from various backgrounds and culturesAbility to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteersFlexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as appropriateAbility to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries and confidentialityGeneral ConditionsAll ASC staff and volunteers are required to:Adhere to ASC's vision, purpose and valuesAct at all times in accordance with ASC's Code of Conduct and Child Protection PoliciesComply with Work, Health and Safety systemsComply with Incident Management Procedures and emergency protocolsDemonstrate a respectful and welcoming behaviour with all people at ASC in culturally appropriate waysUndertake a NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement and ensure it is up-to-dateSupport a child safe organisation by undertaking screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people and to comply with relevant state/territory legislative requirementsApply For Job
