Communications Volunteer - (Assistant Video Animator)
To support the creation of an animated video series for our social media channels

Purpose / Objective
The Asylum Seekers Centre's communications team is seeking a volunteer to support the creation of an animated video series for our social media channels.
This position is best suited for those who have strong storytelling skills and professional experience in video production who wish to offer their skills and/or services in-kind to help ASC.
Commitment Period: Flexible, based on creation of minimum five animated videos
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with the production of five short animated videos (3-4 minutes in length) for the ASC's social media channels
Support the lead animator to develop and implement animation concepts and ideas.
Support the communications team in the video shoot of reference materials for animation
Regular progress check-in with Communications team (flexible timing)

Selection Criteria
Attention to detail and the ability to work with deadlines,
Graphic design, animation and storytelling skills are essential.
Sharing a portfolio is essential.
Proficiency in Adobe After Effects (desirable)
Experience in working with people from various backgrounds and cultures
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers
Flexibility and willingness to take on extra tasks as appropriate
Ability to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries and confidentiality

Adhere to ASC's vision, purpose and values
Act at all times in accordance with ASC's Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policies
Comply with Work, Health and Safety systems
Comply with Incident Management Procedures and emergency protocols
Demonstrate a respectful and welcoming behaviour with all people at ASC in culturally appropriate ways
Undertake a NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement and ensure it is up-to-date
Support a child safe organisation by undertaking screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people and to comply with relevant state/territory legislative requirements
