Advanced Geotechnical Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Perth office.
This challenging role involves delivering innovative and effective technical solutions to internal and external clients, leveraging more than 150 years of experience in geotechnical and tunnels expertise.
You will be part of our accomplished Geotechnical and Tunnels section, working alongside experienced engineers to bid and deliver successful projects across the transport, power, water, mining, property, and government sectors.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will:
- Provide technical advice on complex geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff, ensuring best practice consulting services;
- Analyse data for decision-making purposes, applying advanced techniques, modifications, and extensions of theories and practices;
- Develop a reputation as a Technical Leader/Lead Consultant, participating in industry groups to maintain a high industry profile;
- Manage, analyse, and carry out geotechnical reporting for projects;
- Lead safety initiatives, identifying and alleviating high-priority safety hazards;
- Mentor and transfer knowledge to other geotechnical engineers, promoting innovation and excellence;
- Manage existing and new client relationships, undertaking proactive business development activities;
- Stay up-to-date with advancing technologies, methods, and research & development;
- Supervise, coordinate, and review/evaluate activities carried out by less experienced engineers;
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and reports for clients; and
- Support stakeholder engagement activities.
About the Role:
We are looking for an individual with typically 5 to 12 years' experience in geotechnical engineering, a strong track record in undertaking and managing field investigations, and demonstrated experience in geotechnical design, including rock/soil/structure interaction.
A civil engineering or engineering geology degree is required, with postgraduate qualifications in a geotechnical-related field considered favourably.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
