Job Title:

Rehabilitation Consultant

Job Description:

In this diverse role, you will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day while being supported by a strong team of driven healthcare professionals.

You will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with various conditions, both physical and psychological, and support them in achieving return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes.

  • Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks);
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals;
  • Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes;
  • Completing various assessments using clinical skills, including but not limited to initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification in Exercise Physiology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, or Osteopathy;
  • Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or Full Professional Accreditation with ESSA;
  • Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships;
  • Excellent time management skills - able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment;
  • A desire to problem-solve with confidence, use initiative, and achieve results;
  • A passion for injury prevention, return-to-work, and associated health benefits;
  • A current driver's license and access to their own vehicle.
