Support Children and Families:


We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Adoption and Permanent Care team. As a skilled practitioner, you will provide assessment, support, and case management functions to children, families, and caregivers within the Adoption and Permanent Care program.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Recruit, train, and assess individuals interested in becoming permanent carers
  • Support children and carers in adoption and permanent placements through case management and working with birth families
  • Provide post-legal support to caregivers and children whose court orders have been legalized

Requirements:



  • Experience in child, youth, and family welfare, with a focus on Out of Home Care
  • Sophisticated understanding of the legislative, policy, and practice environment of Permanent Care/Out of Home Care
  • Skills and experience in supervising carers
  • Demonstrated experience in case management
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Understanding of the Children, Youth, and Families Act 2005
