Position Overview:

L'Oréal's Dermatological Beauty Division is in search of a dedicated Senior Demand and Supply Planner. This pivotal role is essential for managing the seamless transition of our products from production to our esteemed clientele, directly influencing the success of our renowned brands such as La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, Vichy, and SkinCeuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast Development: Create and uphold comprehensive statistical forecasts for a selection of products within the Dermatological Beauty Division.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to incorporate market insights, promotional strategies, and new product introductions into the demand forecast.
  • Data Analysis: Examine historical data, market trends, and dynamics to pinpoint risks and opportunities, recommending modifications to enhance forecast precision.
  • Risk Management: Actively identify and evaluate risks and opportunities related to the demand forecast and suggest strategies for mitigation.

Supply Chain Management:

  • Collaborate with global manufacturing and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient production and distribution of products.
  • Assess inventory levels, lead times, and capacity limitations to formulate and implement a robust supply strategy that aligns with demand while optimizing inventory and costs.
  • Identify and address potential supply chain risks, including material shortages and production delays.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to devise and execute solutions that improve supply chain efficiency and responsiveness.

Communication & Leadership:

  • Serve as the main contact for all inquiries related to demand and supply.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with various teams, promoting a culture of shared responsibility.
  • Lead monthly demand review sessions, presenting forecast performance and actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Proactively communicate potential supply chain challenges and propose solutions to minimize their impact.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) concerning forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and delivery completeness.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports to management, emphasizing significant trends, risks, and opportunities within the demand and supply planning framework.
  • Identify areas for ongoing improvement and spearhead initiatives to refine planning processes and tools.

Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in demand and/or supply planning, ideally within the cosmetics or consumer goods sector.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of interpreting data and making informed business decisions.
  • Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting software, along with ERP systems (SAP experience is preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and influencing stakeholders across all levels.
