As a Lifestyle & Wellbeing Care Officer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of our residents.

This dynamic role involves fostering a sense of belonging among residents through engaging activities, social events, and meaningful interactions.

About the Home\
  • Our Greensborough home is a modern residency located on Diamond Creek Road, offering a close-knit community and scenic views.\
  • The home consists of 90 beds, providing a variety of care types, with a primary focus on the health, lifestyle, and well-being of our residents.
\
Responsibilities\
  1. Be the driving force behind resident engagement: Develop and implement activities that cater to diverse interests, including art classes, gardening clubs, day trips, and movie nights.\
  2. Facilitate social connections: Foster a sense of community through lively games, quiet chats, and afternoon tea sessions.\
  3. Provide emotional support: Offer compassionate care to residents with cognitive impairment or mental health needs, assisting with daily living tasks and outings.\
  4. Resident champion: Gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities meet resident needs and expectations.\
  5. Collaborate with the care team: Work closely with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care staff to plan activities, document progress, and escalate any concerns.\
  6. Maintain a clean and safe environment: Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a tidy environment at all times.\
  7. Support mealtime services: Assist with plating and serving meals, adhering to food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences.

Requirements and Qualifications\

  • Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is essential.\
  • Current Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support or willingness to complete.\
  • First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one).\
  • Australian driver's licence.
